Visual polish!

Hello there my economists!

I'd like to give a short update on Merchant Quest! In short, development is going great!

In long however:

Development on this project is taking quite a while, although to be honest, a much shorter "while" than I initially expected. I've now been working on this project for over a month, and to be honest I think it kinda shows considering my skill level. I'm still focusing fully on Merchant Quest and making it the best it can be with the tools I have available to me.

I really do think this game could shape up to be something somewhat special, and I have some more features I'd like to add to the combat system if I have the time to, but for now, the combat is feature-complete! I'm currently working on the Battle-UI. I'm thinking that by the end of this week most of the basic Battle-UI should be complete, and I've made sure that enemies are very customisable. I can easily tweak values and change the enemy's elemental types and such, it's honestly very nice. This project scope has far exceeded what it was originally meant to be (just a throwaway second project so I can have something, anything out there to play as my second game), and I honestly couldn't be happier. I really DO think I'll be able to finish this with my current skillset.

I promise I'll make this game something worthwhile in the end, but be patient with me, please!

I actually have a functioning build of the basic battle gameplay done (you can find it on gamejolt), but I don't want to post that 0.1 version build here, I want to polish it some more first so it really feels like something worth playing! The 0.2 build will be coming sooner rather than later!

Oh and, please follow my new twitter account! (@CrumbleKoek). I'll post smaller regular-ish updates on there for those willing to follow!

Now, have a great day my dear economists, I'll see you when I have bigger news to share, thank you all for your patience! And for now, have a little video of the build in it's current state!
